About the Director
A native of Greece, Athina Rachel Tsangari works as a filmmaker and projection designer. She is the cofounder and principal producer of Haos Film and has produced three of Yorgos Lanthimos’s films, including the critically acclaimed Dogtooth (2009). Her second feature, Attenberg premiered in competition at the 2010 Venice Film Festival and was Greece’s foreign-language film submission to the 2011 Academy Awards. Her upcoming feature, Duncharon, was awarded the ARTE France Cinéma Award for best project at the International Film Festival Rotterdam CineMart in 2012.
