    About the Director

    Born in Beirut, Hisham Bizri is a Lebanese-American director, writer, and producer. He started working in films with directors Raoul Ruiz, in New York City, and Miklós Jancsó, in Budapest. His films have been shown at the Cannes Film Festival, the Louvre Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Cinémathèque Française, and the Cairo Opera House, among others. He is the recipient of many awards, including the Rockefeller Award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a McKnight Foundation fellowship, and the American Academy in Rome Prize.
