Roy purchases a handgun to protect his wife and newborn baby after a terrifying home invasion. The newfound sense of power Roy feels carrying the weapon becomes an obsession, leading him down a reckless path that may have tragic consequences.
About the Director
GUN marks the directorial debut of New York–based Spencer Gillis. Gillis studied at the University of Iowa, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in cinema and a Master of Arts degree in film studies. His career as a professional camera assistant/operator spans more than 20 feature films—including Shame, Blue Valentine,and Arbitrage—in addition to work in documentary, episodic television, commercials, and Web content.
