Based in Los Angeles, Pendleton Ward is the creator of Adventure Time, a new animated series from Cartoon Network Studios, which was recently nominated for its second Emmy Award and an Annie Award for best animated television production for children. Prior to Adventure Time, Ward was a storyboard artist for Cartoon Network’s animated series The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, working with show creator Thurop Van Orman. Ward graduated from the California Institute of the Arts Character Animation program. Tom Herpich was born and raised in Connecticut and studied animation and cartooning at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After several years of freelancing for clients such as Bill Plympton, Ralph Bakshi, the New York Times, VICE magazine, and Nickelodeon, he moved to Los Angeles to work as a character designer on Adventure Time. After season one, he switched to writing and storyboarding, which has been keeping him very busy ever since.
