About the Director
Tom Schroeder has been making hand-drawn animated films since 1990. His films have been broadcast on PBS’s Independent Lens series and Sundance Channel and have screened at the American Cinematique in Los Angeles and Anthology Film Archives in New York. They have also played widely at international festivals, including the Annecy and Ottawa international animation festivals and the Rotterdam and Edinburgh international film festivals. Marcel marks the third appearance of Schroeder’s films at the Sundance Film Festival.
