    A black man with hip-hop and zydeco roots hard-grafts through the local, all-white rodeo circuits in the Deep South as he dreams of competing in the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

    About the Directors

    Documentary filmmakers Ewan McNicol and Anna Sandilands are co-owners of Lucid Inc., a documentary studio based in Seattle. Ewan's work has received numerous accolades, including a BAFTA nomination, a Royal Television Society award, and a Silver Cub nomination at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. Sandilands career began in advertising, garnering Effie nominations, and award for Lucid from The One Club. McNicol and Sandilands, are in final production on their first feature-length documentary, Uncertain, (Summer 2013), and in pre-production on Rookie (working title), a feature-length of The Roper.
