Jim and Dave, two brothers who don't like each other very much, are forced to come together when their dad dies in Kansas City. Dave is pretty sure he has an Alonzo Mourning Skybox Series rookie card, but Jim has other ideas.

Todd Sklar didn't graduate from college. To his credit, however, he did spend more than six years trying. These exploits were chronicled in his feature-length debut, Box Elder, which he took on a cross-country tour in 2008, building a nationwide fan base and cult following. Afterward Sklar founded Range Life Entertainment, a privately held marketing company that brings films to college campuses on a biannual basis. In 2010 he wrote and directed Empires, an independent television pilot that is currently being shopped around. '92 Skybox Alonzo Mourning Rookie Card is his first short film (the early, bad ones don't count), and it serves as a prologue to the feature-length extension, Awful Nice, which recently began postproduction. Right now Sklar is eating a sandwich.
