In the low country of South Carolina, some true southern belles reveal their more rugged side, providing a glimpse into what drives them to hunt in the wild.

Maria White directed and produced The Debutante Hunters through a grant awarded by the South Carolina Film Commission. Previously, White produced “Down and Out,” part of the anthology feature film, Locker 13, and she produced the internationally acclaimed short film, Tackle Box. White was born in Las Vegas and raised in South Carolina, where she studied art at Winthrop University. She is also a professional ceramic artist. White lives with her husband and son in Los Angeles.
