Inspired by Billy Wilder's People on Sunday (1930), Playtime is a seamless journey of German youth and innocence on a Sunday afternoon.
Lucas Mireles Lucas Mireles is a Texas native, currently enrolled in the film-directing MFA program at the UCLA. In 2011 his first narrative short, Hijo de mi Madre (My Mother’s Son), made its world premiere at the Slamdance Film Festival, and his short comedy Love Analysis was an official selection of SXSW. Playtime (Spielzeit) was inspired by Billy Wilder’s classic silent film People on Sunday (1930) and Richard Linklater’s Slacker (1991). Mireles lives and works in Los Angeles. |
