Born in Ryazan in 1973, Nietov was a student at the seminary but had passion for natural science, video, and philosophy—in which he was particularly influenced by the "perversionism" of philosopher Francisco Flores. He enrolled at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of St. Petersburg after a brief stint in the Faculty of Theology, where he specialized in animal physiology. Nietov’s passion for video has never left him, and he continues to shoot all his experiences.
